I am a science writer with a special interest in the links between toxins in our environment and health. I have a master’s degree in public health from the University of California, Berkeley. I learned the craft of science writing at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
I am also a parent, and as such, I know that children are the most vulnerable members of society when it comes to toxins in our environment. They are also at the perfect age to absorb lessons about how to take care of our planet so that they grow up to be leaders who can help curb the pollution of our air, water, and land. My new book, The Green Guide for Families (to be released March 16, 2010), shows parents what they can do to better our environment while raising the “greenest” generation.
